Wiki Microcytic anemia and Anemia due to stage 3a chronic kidney disease. ???

Hello, I have this case where my provider documented;

1. Microcytic anemia (D50.9)
- Ambulatory referral to Gastroenterology

2. Anemia due to stage 3a chronic kidney disease(D63.1)
Assessment & Plan:
GFR stable; cont current treatment continue diet(low carb low salt diet) and exercise as recommended

Can I code both anemia? they haven't any exclusion in the ICD-10 book..

If there aren't any excludes notes for these two codes, and you aren't getting an edit in your encode (assuming you use one), then I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to code these together. Make sure you also code the stage 3A CKD.
