Wiki new coder needs help - severe calf pain

A patient that had ankle surgery and is still in the global, goes to the ER for moderate to severe calf pain. The surgeon that did the ankle surgery evaluates the patient in the ER and changes the patients initial splint to a short leg splint.

Can any of this be billed (E/M or splint) or would this be part of the global and non-billable?
