Hello I am hoping someone will take a look at this and tell me if I code it correctly. I am new to ENT coding.
Procedures
Bilateral maxillary ethmoid and bilateral triple fess with the removal of mucous membrance polyps. Right endoscopic frontal sinus exploration with removal of mucous membrance. Septoplasty, bilateral inferior turbinate out fractures. Bilateral cauterization of inferior turbinates.
I would code it as 31255/50 31276, 30520, 30930/50

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would use the same codes but I would use lt and rt for ethmoid,rt for frontal sinus and the lt and rt for turbs

30520
31255 59rt
31255 59lt
31276 59lt
30930 59rt
30930 59lt

depends on ins, if they accept modifiers. Without the 59 you run the chance of the insurance including some procedures together
when they are not. I would reduce the 2nd side on the ethmoid to 1/2 the cost and also reduce the 2nd turbs to 1/2 the cost.

hope this helps,

Lisa
