I'm hoping someone can help. We have a patient who came in for the initial implementation of the Nexplanon. While there she also complained of URI symptoms cough, congestion etc. I want to bill for both but I am sure I'm going to need modifiers. Any suggestions? I don't want to lose the money from the procedure, but want to code/bill this correctly. Thanks!:D
 
Modifier

You would only need to be sure to add a modifier 25 on the office visit that you bill for URI to show that there is a separately identifiable procedure done not related to the office visit.
