Hey there,

So I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. We have a provider doing prolo therapy and also a office visit on the same date. He is doing prolo on pts backs but then discussing several other issues outside the scope of the prolo therapy. Does anyone know if its ok to bill Medicare for the office visit since its not related to the prolo or since its done the same date of the prolo its considered non covered as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much.

My educated guess is the office visit would be billed with the diagnosis for what the patient was seen for and sent to medicare. The prolo (don't know what this is!) would be billed separate since is not sent to medicare on a HCVA anyways.
