History=Under 25 y/o Female with Cystic Fibrosis. Port-A-Cath painful when accessed and flushed. RADIOTRACER: 1.04 mCi of technetium 99 M sulfur colloid. Study/Images: Dynamic anterior imaging following the tracer injection.
INTERPRETATION: Tc99m SULFUR COLLOID PORT SCAN, 8/24/2011.
MAJOR FINDINGS: After tracer injection, there is brisk flow within the external tubing extending to the reservoir, as well as the Port-A-Cath tubing into the central venous system. Flow distributes normally within the heart, pulmonary circulation, and systemic circulation.
Physician coded as 78291-Peritoneal-venous shunt patency test(eg, For LeVeen, Denver Shunt). Coder recommends 78445-Non-cardiac vascular flow imaging(ie, angiography, venography). Who is correct?
