One of our physicians told me he had heard that physicians could bill for supervising a patient's inpatient chemo administration. I have done some research and have not found a code for this service. I have asked our LCD but it may take several days for an answer. In the past, we have only reported the e/m services associated with the patient's visits to the offices. Any information anyone here might have would be greatly appreciated!

Codes 96360-96379, 96401,96402, 96409-96425, 96521-96523 are not intended to be reported by the physician in the facility setting, Per CPT guidelines. There are no codes for a physician supervising chemotherapy in an outpatient or inpatient hospital setting.
