Hello Forum members, Please help me to find reference for this.
My understanding was outpatient surgical procedures includes payment for preadmission diagnostic services and these should be billed with the procedure in same UB04. I have many claims in scrubber showing medical necessity but these are pre admission labs only billed separately. I have been asking billing team to consolidate this with surgery bill but they want CMS reference that I was not able to find. global surgical fact sheet says diagnostic labs radiology are not included in global surgery.
Does anybody know how to bill pre admission testing for sdc? any reference? Really appreciate help.
