I work for a Pediatric Dental office. We often go to the local children's hospital for treatment for our patients under general anesthesia. When I submit my pre-authorizations I am told that I MUST use the Main hospital address and tax ID even though we are going to their ambulatory surgery center. Can anyone help me understand this.

It's possible they are under the same TIN. The address on the tax ID would be the one on the claim usually. At least that's how it is in our outpatient area. Your authorization must match what's on the claim.
