This is the first I have come across this one. . . . .
Doctor did an arthroscopic repair of medical meniscus ( 29882 ). Then he removed the ACL metal femoral screw (?) from the femoral tunnel, and then he mildly debrided the tunnel and a bone dowel was requested and placed into the femoral tunnel, bone grafting the tunnel, for use at a later time.
My question is the removal of the screw and the (dowel) bone graft. This was done during an arthroscopy, and I am at a loss on the codes that would be appropriate. I feel pretty sure it is not included in the medial meniscus repair.
Anyone have suggestions or experience with this one ? I would really appreciate any
help
