My provider is coding S14.106x for a cord injury secondary to an epidural abscess. Pre-op and post-op dx's are cervical epidural abscess ventral to the spinal cord, quadriparesis secondary to above, staphylococcal bacteremia, and cervical spinal cord injury secondary to epidural abscess. The dx codes are G06.2, A41.1, G82.50 and S14.106A. Is this correct? Aren't all S codes for traumatic injuries?
