We are having problems finding a definitive resource that states when a previous cancer patient can revert back to screening mammograms. Also, has anybody else ran across a time frame to use "history of" diagnoses codes? Our facility radiology department and Cancer Center state that after 2 years being cancer free the patient can revert back to screening mammograms and drop the "history of" diagnoses code. Our coding department and Compliance officer are unable to find any corresponding resources. Any help is greatly appreciated.
