Patient comes in for her annual Well-Woman's exam, but is not do yet for a pap smear, so we don't do one.
She comes back a week later saying that her insurance told her that she should have a pap smear and that it is a covered benefit.
The doctor spends time counseling the patient on pap smear guidelines and how she is not due for one yet.
What ICD-10-CM code would you choose? I was thinking something like Z71.2 (Person consulting for explanation of examination or test findings) or Z71.89 (Other specified counseling).
Is there any better option to describe the situation?
Thank you!

We would screen for this issue at the time the appointment is made based on guidelines and insurance benefits top avoid these types of visits. However if the patient came through the screening process and was seen by the physician then generally we would use Z71.89
