Hi everyone,
So I have been asked to take up the mantle in the office for claims that have denied stating there was a SNF Overlap. I am running into a few scenarios that I need some education on.
#1: Denied for overlap; SNF states patient is private pay and not skilled until after DOS.
#2: Denied for overlap; SNF states patient is Medicaid patient at DOS.
#3: Denied for overlap; SNF states patient was discharged prior to DOS.
Can you all give me some best practices on resolving these types of situations?
