Hi All,

I need some guidance regarding CPMA Exam. Those who have already cleared this exam, Kindly provide your valuable suggestions for preparation.

1.How many ICD-10-CM related questions will be asked in Exam?
2.How many questions will be asked on ICD-10-PCS?
3.How many CPT guidelines question will be asked in Exam?
4.How many medical records we have to code/audit in exam?
5.How many questions will be related to complaince and healthcare laws?
6.How many questions will be related to E/M documentation?
7.How to manage time during exam? Where to focus more? In which section?

Also in addition is there any question related to IP-DRG coding?

I have planned to take up CPMA exam by mid of this year. If anyone of you have a similar plan please do contact me so that we can share and learn as a group.

I'd encourage you to take a look at the link jfowler shared as it does give you the question breakdown for the exam. I'll try to help answer a few of your questions too:

ICD-10-PCS is not covered on the CPMA.
There may be a question or two regarding inpatient coding (and could include a general DRG question), but that is not an area focus for the exam.

If you look at the exam description, the CPMA is physician focused rather than facility focused.
