I am new to auditing cardiology visits and I am looking for some clarification on the table of risk.

1. What types of tests are included in the cardiovasular imaging studies with contrast with identified risk factors?

2. What types of tests fall under cardiac electophysiological tests?

I would appreciate any help I am trying to determine E/M levels.

Thank You

I'm not an expert

I do not have experience with cardiology, so can't really answer your questions as to which exact tests are included here.

You might get a better response if you post in the Cardiology forum.

I CAN tell you, however, that for the first element, the key is NOT the test, but whether the patient has identified risk factors ... e.g. diabetes, is on coumadin. The Identified risk factors need to be clearly stated by the provider.

Hope that helps.
