What was your doctor's diagnosis? Very often, the ED diagnosis isn't correct. I've seen many patients diagnosed with bacterial conjunctivitis by the ED physician who had viral conjunctivitis or even anterior uveitis/iritis. Use your doctor's diagnosis to code the visit.
