The research that I have been able to locate is a bit dated (2018 and 2019) which states that reporting the intraoperative use of the ultrasound cannot be billed when used for the locating the brain tumor for removal. One is from KZA and the other is a Neurosurgery Coding Alert. Our Neurosurgeon is a bit passionate that since NCCI does not bundle these that we can still bill - does anyone have anything else that can support NOT billing? I tried to find something from AANS with no success.
