IF YOU ARE BILLING 1 UNIT OF 80MG DEPO OUT OF A 5ML MULTIDOSE VILE, WHAT WOULD THE NDC ML UNIT BE FOR 1 INJECTION FOR THE ML SLOT ON THE CLAIM?
THE UNIT WOULD BE BILLED AS 1 BECAUSE 1 INJECTION WAS GIVEN, BUT WHAT WOULD WE PUT IN THE NDC ML UNIT BOX TO SEND THE CLAIM?
WOULD 1 UNIT BE 1 ML OR .20 SINCE IT IS A 5ML MULTIDOSE VILE? SO CONFUSED!!!!
PLEASE HELP! WE CANNOT FIGURE THIS OUT:confused:
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

First, the units are not dependent on how many injections were given. It is also not dependent on how much of the vial was used (not dependent on a fraction of the vial). It does not matter if you drew from a one ml vial or a 5 ml multidose vial.

You said "one unit", but how much, in mls, exactly, was given?

If it is one ml, then the unit is one because depomedrol 80mg is billed per 80 mg, and the end of the NDC code would be ML1.
