Hello all,

Dx: Incompetent rt anterior accessory saphenous vein

This vein was doubly clamped, divided/ligated, excising a 2-cm segment. Then stab phlebectomy (24 incisions) was performed.

would the accessory saphenous vein be UNLISTED 37799 compare 37722?

Any thoughts would be GREAT
Jamie

OP note reads:
Utilizing tumescent anesthesia solutaion, approx 20 cc was injected in the groin. A transverse incision was made, carried down through subq tissue, isolation the anterior accessory saphenous vein. This was doubly clamped, divided and ligated, excising a 2-cm segment. Attention was then turned to the areas in the leg which had been marked for the phlebectomy. These areas were then tumesced w/ additional solution, for a total of approx 400cc. Then, 24 separate stab incisions were then made, and utilizing a hook, segments of varicosities were elevated and removed using blunt avulsion technique. Bleeding was minimal. Hemostasis was secured. Wounds closed.

Post-op dx: Incompetent right anterior accessory saphenous vein with painful varices, right leg.

Thanks!
