I was able to determine that the programming device evaluation includes all the components of the remote/in-person interrogation device evaluation and that the only difference is that the programming device evaluation also includes the selection of patient-specific programmed parameters (iterative adjustments).
As someone new to cardiology coding, I am having difficulty in what I should be seeing in the review or report to indicate that iterative adjustments were, in fact, made and whether the specific adjustments that were made need to be documented. Without them, I would think that only the interrogation device evaluation would be supported as long as all of the required components of that service were documented as being evaluated.
