I work for a Pediatrics Office in Nebraska and we were wondering if anyone bills out a 99212/99213 for the Z02.0 or the Z02.5 and are you using the code as the primary diagnosis and are you getting paid by Insurance or are they considering as non-covered services since they are not listed under the ACA - Affordable Cares Act? Do they go toward the patient cost share? Any help would greatly appreciated.

Or just bill dx Z02 with CPT preventive health codes CPT 99381 to 99397 linked with patient's status of age or new or est. patient if not had an annual physical wellness check already. Has the child patient had a annual physical for the year yet? If they have had might have to use the Eval mgnt codes link with dx Z02. Patient probably have to pay out of pocket but contact payer to check it out.
