JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the oversight and management of activities related to external audits requested by third party payers, as well as governmental payers. Responsible for communicating findings, recommendations and/or corrective action plans through written reports and/or via collaboration with appropriate parties. Ensure that compliance with billing and coding policies and procedures are being followed. Monitoring the effectiveness of our internal controls to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare related field or Business Administration with a minimum of two years of experience in compliance
auditing or health care billing and coding with knowledge of Medicare billing regulations required OR six years related experience
including two years of experience in compliance auditing or health care billing and coding with knowledge of Medicare billing
regulations required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CPC, COC and/or CPMA certification(s) are preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Ability to meet tight deadlines.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work independently.
· Strong communication skills.
