Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey is a private physiatry practice that has been in business for almost 20 years. Our 8 physicians and 1 AP provide to patients in acute, sub-acute, and outpatient rehabilitation facilities. 

 

This is a brand-new position, and we are looking for someone who wants to join a growing and financially stable practice.  The ideal candidate needs to be in complete alignment with our practice Mission, Values, and Vision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts audits for missed charges and records information.
  • Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly encounter/wRVU/charge reconciliations.
  • Remains current with CPT and ICD-10 guidelines for coding and diagnostic procedures and federal legislative changes that affect outcomes.
  • Remains current with changes in reimbursement regulations with contracted insurance plans as well as Medicare to minimize denials.
  • Provides ongoing training related to billing and coding for all new and existing physicians.
  • Experience with billing and coding when adding new service lines, preferred.
  • Works closely with practice teams for optimized physician support.
  • Attends meetings and in-services as required.
  • Participates in education professional development activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification, required.
  • Strong knowledge of Medical coding (e.g., ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPC) required.
  • Three years of related experience in medical coding, claims resolution and auditing, independent single specialty medical practice setting, strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures, abbreviations, and terms, required.
  • Knowledge of Federal Medicare guidelines, managed care programs, practices and regulations, and medical coding.
