Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey is a
private physiatry practice that has been in business for almost 20 years. Our 8
physicians and 1 AP provide to patients in acute, sub-acute, and outpatient rehabilitation
This is a brand-new position, and we are
looking for someone who wants to join a growing and financially stable
practice. The ideal candidate needs to be in complete alignment with

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
audits for missed charges and records information.
daily, weekly, and monthly encounter/wRVU/charge reconciliations.
current with CPT and ICD-10 guidelines for coding and diagnostic
procedures and federal legislative changes that affect outcomes.
current with changes in reimbursement regulations with contracted
insurance plans as well as Medicare to minimize denials.
ongoing training related to billing and coding for all new and existing physicians.
with billing and coding when adding new service lines, preferred.
closely with practice teams for optimized physician support.
meetings and in-services as required.
in education professional development activities.
- Associate/Bachelor’s degree in related
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Strong knowledge of Medical coding (e.g.,
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPC) required.
- Three years of related experience in medical
coding, claims resolution and auditing, independent single specialty
medical practice setting, strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical
terminology, medical procedures, abbreviations, and terms, required.
- Knowledge of Federal Medicare guidelines,
managed care programs, practices and regulations, and medical coding.
