Pocahontas
Memorial Hospital has a full-time Certified Coder position available in the
Health Information Management Department.
Emergency Department and professional coding experience required. Candidate must perform independently as well
as in a team environment. A high school
diploma or equivalent, certification from accredited school in Certified
Professional Coding with at least 1 year experience in Medical Coding required. Coder will be responsible to monitor and code
ICD10, professional and technical coding as well as perform charge entry from
clinical documentation. Candidate must
be able to communicate, train and respond to billing and coding questions from
providers, staff and administrators.
Successful candidate must be knowledgeable and competent to review
patient records and recommend appropriate coding/documentation for deficient
records.
