A busy multi-specialty practice in Jacksonville, Florida has an immediate opening in our billing department for qualified candidates with experience as a Certified Professional Coder. Job Responsibilities include : *Receive and review charge documents from clinics and hospitals *Ensure charge information provided is correct and accurate *Abstract CPT and ICD-10-CM from medical records *Charge entry into billing system in a timely manner *Work with A/R team on follow up and resolution of coding related denials and rejections * E/M audits Qualifications include : * CPC certification through AAPC * Two years medical office experience * Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong typing skills * Ability to multitask and work well under pressure to meet associated deadlines * Ability to be a positive team player and cross train in other billing job functions * Experience with EMR * E Clinical Works experience a plus! *CIRCC certification offered to the highly motivated CPT certified coder
