General Summary:
speroMD is a
unique, physician-owned revenue cycle management company made up of individuals
who are dedicated to providing the highest quality services to our clients. The coding coordinator performs various duties to accurately interpret
and bill physician charges for physician services. The coding coordinator is
AAPC or AHIMA certified. The coding
coordinator is responsible for being the main point of contact for coding
related questions within the coding department. The coding coordinator also
serves as a resource to members of the management team with questions, as well
as a resource to physician clients.
Essential Job Functions:

Performs at subject matter
expert level on all certified coders
·
Assigns and monitors work
of coders; ensures timely completion of their work; resolves operations
problems
·
Responsible for ensuring
regular review of changes in payor guidelines, and timely update of staff with
regard to determined changes in payor guidelines
·
Tracks daily charge review
WQ for all clients and reports any issues to Billing Manager
·
Assists in recruiting; provides
initial and ongoing staff training and new employee orientation; stays abreast
of changes and updates to provide staff with the most accurate coaching and
training; maintains training/reference manuals
·
Provides coverage for
Self-Pay Representatives as needed
·
Models and supports
PediaTrust Core Values and coaches others to do the same
Required Education,
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
·
Minimum of High School
Diploma required
·
Knowledge of Epic and/or
other EHR systems preferred
·
Strong knowledge and level
of comfort with Microsoft Word and Excel strongly preferred
·
Strong written and verbal
communication skills and high level of organizational skills required
·
Strong knowledge of anatomy
and physiology is preferred
Required Length & Type of Experience:
·
Minimum of 3 years of
medical billing experience required, team lead experience preferred
Required Certification, Licenses, Registration:

AAPC or AHIMA certified
