Skills:Reviews,audits,trains,educates and codes for procedural and diagnostic codes for a variety of services to ensure appropriate billing and insurance regulations are adhered to. Assists in staff related responsibilities and spearheads coding communication for the clinic.

Demonstrates in-depth understanding of coding, compliance rules and regulations. Provides daily direction, coordinates staff schedules and conducts performance reviews Audits provider documentation, codes and posts charges for healthcare services including Primary Care, OB-GYN, General Surgery, Lab/Pathology, Imaging, Podiatry, outpatient and inpatient services, and more Researches and communicates payer-specific rules and regulations to ensure coding compliance Develops training guides and policies and procedures Identifies, develops and communicates best practices based on provider documentation, insurance payer medical policies and CMS guidelines Work CCI/LMRP edits, claims manager rules and coding related denials Problem solves and trouble shoots department issues Analyzes reports to identify missing charges and reason for denial Assist patients and staff with coding and cost estimates Perform analysis that includes staff production, denial and/or rejected claims on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis Lead and attend department meetings, educational seminars and trainings Maintain confidentiality Work independently, multi-task and mentor staff Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Possess strong analytical, grammatical, spelling and communication skills Attend relevant training sessions, department and employee meetings Abide by clinic protocols, ergonomic recommendations and OSHA standards Maintain a neat and well-groomed professional appearance Other duties as assigned
