This position will manage and oversee the timely coding of in-patient and out-patient accounts and ensure compliance with CMS, HFAP and State guidelines. This includes activities and staff, data collection and analysis, and reports to meet department and institutional wide goals.
This position will work closely with the CDI department and the RAC coordinator.
This person must be professional and keenly aware of the needs of all customers. They will be involved in many committees and hospital initiatives.

Education and/or Experience:
RHIT credentials are required. Five years’ experience working as an in-patient coder and 2 years’ supervisory experience. Previous exposure to computer applications necessary.

Must have and maintain RHIA and CCS credentials.
