Compliance Auditor

Duke Health has an on-site opportunity for a Compliance Auditor at their Durham, NC location. The position will require conducting system-wide compliance audits in areas such as federal healthcare program requirements, coding, documentation, and billing. Responsibilities in this role will also include conducting risk assessments, developing and recommending corrective actions to detected issues, and participating in exit conferences.
In addition to experience with compliance auditing, applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, management, healthcare administration, nursing, or other related four-year degree
- Four years’ experience related to legal, regulatory compliance auditing or health information management services
- Experience in clinical care or CDI and inpatient coding experience
- Experience with EPIC is preferred
- Coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CDIP, CCDS)
