JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to a Director of Compliance, the Compliance Specialist provides assistance with implementation of the PSH Compliance Plan and Compliance Work Plan. Under general supervision, the Compliance Specialist will perform a variety of duties centered on compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; internal policies, procedures and Code of Conduct; accepted business practices; ethical standards; and contractual obligations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree. Five (5) years related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree may be considered.
Certification in Health Care Compliance (CHC) or equivalent. If not certified at time of hire, willingness to obtain CHC within first 12 months.
Minimum of three years of experience in health care compliance, internal audit, coding, billing, finance, or other related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience researching / interpreting CMS regulations (Medicare and Medicaid), has strong audit report and presentation skills, and can perform a documentation and coding review.
Certification as a Professional Coder is preferred
