Cottage Hospital is seeking a Director of Revenue Integrity to partner with
both Clinical and Revenue Cycle leaders to maximize revenue by minimizing
rejections, serving as an expert in all aspects of CDM and fee schedule
formulations and collaborating with all service lines for change capture. You
will ensure regulatory compliance and provide training and education to revenue
cycle team members. We’ll rely on you to evaluate all alerts pertaining to
regulatory changes, vendors and codes, as well as any other changes that affect
billing, coding and charging.
You will also validate
and update chargemaster price and billing elements by receiving feedback from
charge audits, group contracting, external audits and CDM reviews. Other duties
include developing opportunities associated with charge capture and the
maximization of revenue, proactively trending revenue patterns by service line
and interfacing with revenue integrity teams to analyze billing/charge capture
procedures, identify problems and provide education to departments as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, nursing or
related field
· One or more of the following certifications: CPC,
CPC-P, CPC-H, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, RN or certification in auditing or healthcare
compliance
· Knowledge of billing requirements related to charges
and associated claim forms
· Knowledge of cost accounting concepts, principles and
computer applications
· Knowledge of hospital and professional fee coding
systems, including ICD-9/10-CM, CPT or HCPCS
· Knowledge of the content, structure and maintenance of
chargemaster and fee schedules
· At least 7 years
of progressive experience in revenue cycle areas, consisting of 5 years of
broad-based financial management, 5 years of chargemaster, billing and
reimbursement concept experience and 3 years of outpatient coding experience
· Experience in
healthcare financial analysis or cost accounting
· 5 years of
management or supervisory experience
