Provide audit and education support for the quality and education department. Facilitate and provide oversight of client-facing audit process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assess, evaluate and identify training needs
  2. Work with vendors and Talent Transformation team to review and provide feedback on training materials
    1. Assist with progression of training materials into Logix Learning
  3. Work with Quality Managers to identify/suggest trends to monitor through audit
  4. Assist in development of new and updated educational opportunities for the internal departments
  5. Complete and provide oversight of client-facing audit process
  6. Provide written and/or oral audit defense of coded accounts
  7. Facilitate and participate in client meetings
  8. Uphold company mission, vision and values
  9. Ensure compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal laws and regulations relating to operations and employment
  10. Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security
    1. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures stored in LogixGarden relevant to this position
  11. Facilitate meetings within department and make presentations to senior management as needed
  12. Create and maintain educational and resource documents

Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.)

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or certification or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Current coding certification required

Computer Skills

Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word required.


  1. Prior Emergency Department specific coding background with a familiarity of different types of chart constructs is preferred
  2. Extensive evaluation and management coding background is required
  3. Prior experience working in audit environment required

3.     Ability to facilitate the education opportunities for established Coders

4.     Ability to work with several new Coders at the same time

8.     Ability to be flexible and possess a positive attitude while viewing problems as an opportunity for improvement

9.     Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, members of management and employees

10.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals

11.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

12.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

13.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

14.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

15.  Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, use hands, talk, hear and occasionally walk and reach with hands or arms
