Experienced Interventional Radiology professional coder is responsible for daily coding, denial management, charge hold, RAI resolution and abstraction. The coder is responsible for escalation of coding questions and request for coding guidance to the Coding Coordinator and/or Supervisor. Participate in internal QA audits and provide feedback in the compliance QA process.
This is an Onsite position in Shelton, CT (not remote position)
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Education/Training – High School diploma or equivalent. Professional Coding Certification CPC, CCS or CCS-P.
Change Healthcare SCC Coding Certification required within 3 months of employment
3-5 years Production Coding experience with both quality and productivity requirements.
3-5 years of Intervention Radiology Coding experience strongly preferred
Lead Coder or Supervisory experience a plus.
Experience auditing is preferred.
Professional Coding Certification. Good communication skills. Proficient with Excel and MS office products.
