This niche consulting firm provides a challenging environment and is ideally suited for compliance and coding professionals who thrive on learning new things and being challenged. The firm’s clients range from solo physicians to hospital systems.  Consultants’ responsibilities include conducting coding audits and compliance program projects. The successful candidate will have experience in developing the approach to a chart audit, performing the audit, making recommendations, and formulating a written report. Must be as comfortable working with a solo physician or the CEO of a larger organization. Our team works hard to develop and maintain client and referral source relationships through individual contacts and public speaking.  This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours to meet client needs. The right candidate must be willing to travel periodically.

Required Qualifications:

CPC with a minimum of 3 years’ experience; at least 2 years conducting coding or chart audits.  Must have an understanding of physician and other “Part B” professional billing, ICD-10-CM, regulatory compliance, internal auditing.

Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Evaluation & Management documentation and coding criteria. 

Qualified candidates must have experience educating providers in one-on-one and group settings.

CPMA designation and MRA coding expertise also valuable.

CHC preferred.  If hired without this compliance designation, must be attained within one year of employment.
