In-house (on site) medical biller and coder needed for up and coming Primary/ Urgent Care. Experience required. Certification required non-apprentice status. Collect/post/ manage patient accounts. Submit claims to the insurance company. Process and post patient and insurance payments. Audits account for refunds due or past due balance. Upload the patient files to Clearinghouse to aid in the statement process. Accurately and ethically code patient encounters for reimbursement. Maintain the highest integrity and strict confidentiality of patient information. Knowledge of current coding updates and coding systems. The right candidate will be an independent self-starter, efficient in their area of expertise, and an individual whom can work well as part of a healthcare team. The position has some flexibility in scheduling and may have the opportunity to eventually work remotely, for the right individual. We are looking to hire a candidate that desires long term employment.
