We are seeking a qualified Medical Business Office Manager to run our medical group of 2 facilities. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the business office including all functions related to billing, collections and appeals.
As a Medical Business Office Manager, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in high volume and/or stressful situations. Our position also requires an in-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted revenue cycle billing and collections in our medical facilities.
Day to Day responsibilities Include:
•Oversight of billing and collections staff
• Ensuring all claims are coded and submitted for billing accurately and timely
•Develop and implement office policies and procedures pertaining to Revenue Management.
•Monitor cash posting and collections activities
•Communicate with clinical staff to identify and correct documentation deficiencies.
•Validate all dates of service are accounted for and billed.
•Facilitate ongoing training and mentoring of coding, billing, charge entry and collections staff.
•Audit coding and billing, collections and appeals and cash posting on a regular schedule.
•Ensure compliance with current state and federal Work Comp billing regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
Requirements
•Proven work experience as a medical business office manager
•Knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 Coding and medical collections procedures
•Ability to maintain medical record confidentiality, understanding of HIPAA requirements.
•Knowledge of medical terminology
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills
•Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
•Communication skills and a customer service orientation
•BS degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or relevant field and/or nationally recognized Coding credential of CPC, CPC-H, COC, CCS or CCS-P.
