The Medical Chart Auditor
will ensure coding and billing compliance through ongoing audits and education
of Dermatology providers. Using a combination of coding, documentation, and
billing knowledge the Medical Chart Auditor will complete reviews of assigned
providers to assess the adequacy of the medical record documentation to support
evaluation and management and procedures billed.
Duties:
?Responsible for conducting
on-going ICD 10, CPT code and medical necessity audits of dermatology
charts in-order to determine if services and procedures provided to
patients are appropriately documented, coded and billed in accordance with
Medicare and third-party billing requirements.
Complete,
review and submit audit summaries to Compliance Officer.
Conduct
post-audit compliance training sessions for physicians and mid-level
clinicians as audit results dictate. These training sessions will include,
but are not limited to, provision of education specific to the
documentation, coding and billing issues found on audit.
Develop and
manage relationships with Integrated Dermatology clinicians to create an
environment that affects necessary change to clinician medial record
documentation, coding and billing services.
Qualifications:
· Ability to audit charts from various electronic
health records and ensure documentation is sufficient for compliance, coding
and billing.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of
experience with documentation, coding and billing auditing with
demonstrated extensive knowledge of Evaluation & Management
documentation, and dermatology coding criteria. (Required)
