Standard Technology, Inc, a certified woman owned business, providing comprehensive clinical coding, auditing and training services and financial management support to the Department of Defense at its locations around the world, is seeking qualified coding professionals for positions throughout the USA and Overseas.

All candidates must be credentialed by AAPC and or AHIMA; must be able to satisfy the eligibility requirements for obtaining a government issued security clearance and have the following:

·Physical and annual immunizations as well as TB testing and flu shots

·Excellent attention to detail, strong computer and organizational skills, and

·Experience working with physicians a plus.

·Ability to work independently and effectively in order to meet work quota.

·Excellent interpersonal skills

·Excellent communication skills, including the ability to read, understand, speak and write English fluently and correctly

·Ability to interact professionally with diverse audience in a high stress environment.

·Strong presentation skills.

 

Associate’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field desired; supplemented with at least two (2) or more years of coding work experience.  DoD coding experience desirable.

 

Below are the specific medical coding opportunities currently available:

Medical Coder (Outpatient and Inpatient positions-- ONSITE)

Worksite:   Various military treatment facilities across the USA.  Immediate openings Camp Pendleton, CA

 

IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR AUDITOR/TRAINER in Pensacola, FL and Great Lakes, IL (ONSITE)

 

CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification required. CPMA desired

 

Job description

Review of medical record documentation and code physician services utilizing current ICD-9 and CPT classifications systems. Follow up on issues or trends found within the documentation of a particular physician for evaluation and refer to auditor as necessary. Prior Military Health System experience preferred.

·Minimum 2 years coding work experience (3 years if no DoD coding experience). If no Associates degree, additional coding experience (2 -5 years) is required.

·For outpatient--Must be able to code minimum 120 outpatient encounters at minimum 96% accuracy daily

·If inpatient coder, must be able to code minimum 32 inpatient encounters daily at 96 % accuracy

  IF APV coder--code minimum 80 APV charts a day at minimum 96% accuracy.
