 About Our Client:

Our client in the Leesburg, FL area is seeking an experienced Coding Supervisor. This is a full time and Direct Hire opportunity.


The Coding Supervisor will be responsible for the operational oversight of the staff and specific functionality of Outpatient Coding (ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS Coding Systems).

Objectives of this Role

·        Optimal use of resources to achieve departmental goals for productivity and financial expectations

·        Generates both routine and ad-hoc reports and serves as a senior resource to staff

·        knowledge of managed care principles, insurance industry practices, codes, and medical terminology required

·        Responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge of coding guidelines as they relate to professional services and HCC Coding.

·        Develop and coordinate educational and training programs regarding elements of coding such as appropriate documentation, accurate coding, coding trends found during chart reviews, third party audit findings, and annual coding updates

·        Assists in orienting and training new providers, throughout the year

·        SME on coding and compliance policies


Skills and Qualifications

·        Medical Billing/Coding secondary education program preferred from an accredited institution

·        Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in physician coding and physician billing; must have working knowledge of CMS coding and documentation rules and regulations, HCC coding.

·        Minimum of RHIA, RHIT, CRC, or CPC

·  Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and policies pertaining to documentation, coding, and billing

· Excellent written, communication, time management, Organizational Skills and analytical skills.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

·        Well versed with medical terminology

·        Knowledge of HCC Coding, CPT-4, ICD-10, HCPCS coding

·        Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
