Miami Cancer Institute is a

You will screen all services for
Medicare and Medicaid patients to comply with the Center for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines in order to determine coverage, eligibility
and ensure beneficiary notification when service(s) may not be covered. Additionally,
you will work and serve as a reference to internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
·
Completion
of an accredited Certified Coding Specialist program or Associate Degree in
Health Information Management Science with two years outpatient coding
experience.
·
CPC preferred
·
Thorough
working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD-10-CM coding
systems, and CPT-4.
·
Competency
in computer applications, medical necessity verification systems, and
Prospective payment system (DRG’s).
·
Ability
to communicate effectively with external customers.
·
Bilingual
highly preferred.
