Steamboat Orthpoaedic and Spine Institute is seeking a full-time coding and reimbursement specialist to join our revenue cycle team. Steamboat Orthopaedic and Spine Institute is a progressive orthopaedic and spine practice with 7 physicians. Our high volume clinic creates an energizing work environment. LOCATION(S): 940 Central Park Dr. STE 280 Steamboat Springs, CO 80487 -or- 595 Russell St. Craig, CO 81625 *Remote work schedule negotiable JOB SUMMARY: Ensures efficient operation and accurate third party reimbursement for orthopaedic services. Duties include: billing E/M and procedure charges, researching aged accounts, correcting provider coding as needed, abstracting information from the medical chart, and appealing claims denied for coding-related reasons, submitting additional medical documentation and tracking account status by monitoring and analyzing assigned unresolved third party accounts. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Certified Professional Coder (CPC or CPCA) or Certified Coding Specialist (CPS) Preferred EXPERIENCE 1-2 years of experience with healthcare billing preferred. Orthopaedic or spine billing and collection experience a strong plus. OTHER Seeking candidates with professional, effective, and pleasant communication skills.
