Serving as an E&M
coding reviewer and documentation educator, you will review Baptist Health Medical
Group physician practice and hospital E&M patient records to ensure that
they contain proper documentation that supports an accurate and compliant
E&M level in regards to CMS Documentation Guidelines for BHMG physician
practices. You will utilize review tools to monitor the accuracy of Physician
E&M coding, documentations gaps and outpatient/inpatient billing; analyze
and report E&M review findings indicating recommendations and actions taken
to improve documentation and coding accuracy; and identify focus areas of
improvement for each provider based on medical record reviews.
Qualifications:
·
High School Diploma,
Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent
training or experience required.

Certified Professional Coder (CPC), and/or Certified Coding
Specialist-Physician (CCS-P) is required.
·
Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) upon hire or
must be completed within 1 year.
·
At least 2 years of professional coding experience with
physician practice and 2 years of E&M education experience.
·
Strong knowledge of Evaluation and Management (E&M)
Coding and CMS documentation guidelines.
·
Proficient in ICD10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding, policy and
procedures based on physician practices.
·
Strong organizational, prioritization and customer service
skills and attention to detail.
·
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
and generating reports. Travel and flexible time schedule is required.
·
Must pass the HR coding exam before
hire.
