Healthcare Coding and Consulting Services, LLC (HCCS) currently has a full-time opening for an experienced and certified remote Pro Fee Auditor.

Your role will include auditing external coders (rather than in-house HCCS coders) and providers to ensure accuracy expectations are met and identify any risk to external clients.

HCCS is looking for someone who is eager to grow and learn new specialties. A professional who is independent, flexible, and excels in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years auditing Inpatient, Same Day Surgery, Observation, and Pro Clinic charts; Pro Clinic coding and auditing experience should include fluency in at least three of the following specialties:

·         Primary Care, Rural Health Clinics, Cardiology, Obstetrics, Ortho, Vision/Optometry, OB-GYN, ENT, Behavioral Health, IVR, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Spinal Surgeries and/or Podiatry.

·         Must be proficient in 2021 Clinic E/M Guidelines and 95/97 guidelines.

  • Advanced knowledge of coding and auditing concepts and principles including teaching facilities, incident to guidelines, and split/shared billing.
  • Current coding certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC – (CPC, CCS-P, CPMA, RHIT, RHIA)
  • Proficiency in medical necessity.
  • Proficiency in Power Point, Excel and MS Office
  • Clinical documentation improvement experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in multiple systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) is a plus.
