We are seeking a
skilled ProFee Surgery Coder whose experience includes
cardio/thoracic and cardio/vascular surgical coding to provide coding to our
health system and physician group clients. This is a significant professional

The ProFee Surgery Coder will apply appropriate diagnostic and procedural
codes, as well as E/M levels, to individual patient health records for surgical
and clinic services for claims processing, data retrieval and analysis.

- 3+ years of
coding experience with at least 1 year focused on complex surgery
- Experience in
cardiovascular and/or cardiothoracic surgery
- Must possess a
thorough working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS coding systems and modifier
knowledge of medical terminology and medical abbreviations
- Must be able to
read text for long periods of time from printed materials/computer
- Teaching hospital
coding experience, including coding for residents, a plus
- Review and
abstract patient medical records to assign diagnoses, treatments, and surgical
procedures for professional services.
