ZOe Pediatrics looking
for an experienced Pediatric Medical Biller to
fill our Revenue Cycle Analyst II position. This role ensures accurate processing and timely submission of
claims and requires the use of problem solving, accuracy in billing/coding, and
ability to meet daily goals and deadlines.
The Revenue Cycle
Analyst II position is an onsite, full-time position. This position is 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, Sunday - Saturday.
After 90 days of
employment, this position is eligible for the standard company benefits package
which includes medical insurance, PTO, and paid holidays.
Education/Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 1 year Pediatric/Family
Medicine Medical Billing and Coding
· Minimum 1-year Medical
Terminology
· Preferred Certification or
Diploma in Medical Billing and Coding
- Working knowledge of basic computer functions
- Working knowledge of math including percentages
- Strong Knowledge of billing for multi-specialty (Family Medicine & Pediatric )
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Knowledge and expertise of medical terminology, CPT and ICD10 coding and third-party billing
- Knowledge of Manage care billing experience
- Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to read, interpret and understand explanation of benefits (EOB) for various insurance
- Ability to work with others or independently
· Must have valid Driver’s License
and reliable means of transportation
Key Responsibilities are but not
limited to:
- Review eligibility and verify benefits
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO,
Medicare, and AL/GA Medicaid
- Responsible for pre-authorizations and referrals for
procedures
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Review insurance payments for accuracy
- Research denied claims
- Update spreadsheets and billing software
- Make outbound calls to insurance companies regarding
any payment discrepancies
- Tracks and posts payments to determine correct payment
and patient balances
- Work and track denials and appeals as well as determine
the root cause.
- Keeping A/R under 45 days
- Responsible for efficiently and accurately posting
insurance and patient payments in the practice management system
(including checks, EFT and credit card payments)
- Reconcile payments posted
- Resolve payment research inquiries
- Assign proper adjustment transaction codes to
contractual write offs and denials
- Pull EFT back-up (EOBs)
- Review and bill current claims within timely filing
limits
- Post both insurance and patient payments
- Enter/Correct patient demographics
- Participates in audits, special projects as they arise,
and other duties as assigned
