Certification/Licensure: CCS or CPC certification preferred or AHIMA coding certification.
Min 1 to 2 years of experience in Risk Adjustment.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening (background and/or drug screening).
Participate in Virtual interviewing process.
Ability to work remotely and equipped with computer to meet requirements for Coding role.
Medical coder will be Coding typically encompasses review of client coding guidelines and coding platform functionality.
Chart review to determine guideline and system understanding prior to release to live production.
First pass coding capturing all dates of services and mapping HCC diagnoses.
Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in the face of changing demands.
Must be detail oriented and able to work independently and with minimal supervision with highly confidential information per HIPAA regulations.
Provide initiative and follow-through on projects with minimal supervision or guidance.
Have strong oral and written communication skills, professional polish and interpersonal skills.
Manage the tracking of multiple tasks in an efficient manner to ensure completion of all assigned projects.
Effectively utilize computer and appropriate software to produce correspondence, charts, spreadsheets and/or other information applicable to the position assignment.
After undergoing training must be able to keep up with productivity goals.
Ability to commit to full duration of project, anticipated to be 3 months may possibly lead to further extension and/or long-term employment based on performance and business need.
