Participates and develops a coding resource team that will assist LogixHealth with implementing the goal to deliver a coding product that is complete, concise and provides an exceptional service to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in a development of a product that delivers an educational experience that is complete, concise and provides an exceptional product to our clients
  2. Oversee and facilitate in the development of standardized unable to code reasons for client RAI (request for additional information) reports
  3. Identify opportunities for improvement with proposed solutions
  4. Assist management to adjust procedures as necessary to create process efficiencies
  5. Create documentation, such as policy/guidelines
  6. Provide project management for complex projects requiring multiple resources
  7. Ensure management is informed of any/all problems that may arise
  8. Prioritize and execute multiple tasks using effective time management
  9. Review and approve time and attendance records according to company standards
  10. Provide on-going feedback and annual performance reviews
  11. Ensure cooperative team environment by
    1. Effectively communicating with staff about department and company initiatives
    2. Adjusting procedures as necessary to create process efficiencies
    3. Resolving issues among staff
    4. Encouraging constructive feedback from staff and between team members
  12. Assist recruitment process including
    1. Identifying needs
    2. Posting internally
    3. Screening and interviewing candidates
  13. Comply with all State and Federal Laws regarding an effective Compliance Program inclusive of HIPAA Privacy and Security
    1. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and be familiar with all compliance policies and procedures stored in LogixGarden relevant to this position
    2. Ensure departmental employees follow the Code of Conduct, compliance policies and procedures

    1. Administer the appropriate sanction when an employee violates a compliance policy or procedure

Education (Degrees, Certificates, Licenses, Etc.)

Bachelor’s degree or certification or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Computer Skills

Prior word processing, spreadsheet and internet software experience including proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word required.


Prior Emergency Department specific coding background with a familiarity of different types of chart constructs is preferred.

  10. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
  11. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, use hands, talk, hear and occasionally walk and reach with hands or arms
