Sr. Chargemaster Specialist

Nashville, TN

 

In this the high visibility roll, the Sr. Chargemaster Specialist will be responsible for maintaining an accurate and complete hospital charge description master, performing data analyses, periodic audits, information queries, external audits and other special projects necessary to optimize revenue generation and maintain compliance with governmental and third party payer requirements. 

 

You will also be responsible for providing leadership guidance to the Charge Accuracy team by coordinating, monitoring, and approving all changes made to the Chargemaster.

 

This position works closely with the Charge Integrity team, VUMC billing offices (professional and technical billing), VUMC informatics, coding staff, Managed Care Contracting, and clinical departments to ensure updates to the Chargemaster are made in an efficient and accurate manner and are proactively communicated. 

 

Preferred Education, Skills, and Experiences:

·      Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

·      4+ years relevant experience
