You will assist in the management and implementation of physician coding compliance education audit operations to ensure and develop organizational provider coding accuracy goals. Duties will include supervising and monitoring  internal auditor/educators and ambulatory risk adjustment coding personnel activities and ensuring accurate and timely processing in accordance with state and federal regulations; assisting with development of coding educational tools and curriculums development based on denial trends and audit outcomes for practice clinical provider and ancillary staff; and supervising coding data trends to monitor for educational opportunities for all medical group staff (clinical, ancillary and leadership).

 

 

Qualifications:

·      CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physicians) required.

·      Minimum of five (5) years Part B professional coding experience with E&M and additional specialties 

·      Minimum of three (3) years Risk Adjustment coding experience, preferred

·      Minimum of three (3) years recent supervisory experience.

·      Thorough understanding of Medicare, Payer documentation, as it relates to compliance and coding requirements

·      Experience related to the development of training material and presenting to different skill sets of clinical audience

·      Knowledge of associated programs and operating systems (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

·      Effective interpersonal skills

·      Ability to exercise mature judgment and maintain confidentiality in all activities
